Ever consider going away somewhere just so you can hide from the mundane of daily duties and dealings? Absolutely, I have, we all have. Our thoughts instantly go to a place far away such as the beach, the peaceful serenity of the mountains, or a destination of hibernating so no one can find us, no drama, and no responsibility. Just you and Calgon! Continue reading “Hiding Place”
Oh my gosh Connie!!! What are you saying?
Why would you even consider saying such a thing and then go as far as writing about it? What are you thinking? How could you, after all that God has blessed you with? Continue reading “I don’t want to be a Christian”
Staring at A Dead-End Road?
Having that moment when you begin something exciting and fulfilling, pumped up ready to go, eager to see where and how it’s all going to play out. YES! Halfway there, still pumped, however, it’s fading. Things are not progressing the way you initially thought they might. Still positive, still pushing forward, never to give up on what you were so excited and look forward to doing. Yes, I got this! It’s going to happen!! Continue reading “At a Dead-End Road?”
“A picture is worth a thousand words”
Which words are they speaking, how do we know what’s the truth, and what isn’t?
Society has set such a standard of what we are supposed to live up to that it’s almost, no, not almost, IT IS impossible to live up to. Continue reading “Interpretation of the Perception”
As we learn, we grow; as we grow, we reach a new level of aspirations.
Driven. Ambition. Goals. Perseverance. Focus. Dream. Aspire.
Ever ask yourself why you are tired all the time? Are you doing, doing, doing? Or are you learning and doing? Alternating between the two can hinder our growth. The best way to grow is to give full focus and practice to what you desire to change in your growth process. Purposely focus on the learning and then move into the performance. Reflect on the performance to see what mistakes you made, and then adjust. This is learning. Continue reading “Learning vs Performance”
It is 3:00 am and my brain is working overtime, the weight of the wondering, over what? What could be keeping me from enjoying a night of uninterrupted sleep? In a moment’s notice, life changed, out of nowhere, life took a turn for the better.
The thoughts that weigh on our minds in the middle of the day, or the night, are not always heavy thoughts. Generally, when someone lies awake at night the first thought is, “they are struggling with something”. Why does it have to appear as a struggle? It is a rarity for the world to mention the lighthearted wonders that keep us awake.
~A missed moment of hope for someone in need is a blessing not shared~
In the moments of life when we walk away from someone or something that is holding us captive, we attempt to focus more on the important things in life. My focus recently hasn’t been right where it should have been. On more than one occasion, I thought it was God not talking to me. I looked in the mirror and realized, I am not listening and doing as God called me to do. Instead, my focus has been on what He called others to do.
You think you know him, you think you know her, you think you know yourself. Then you realize the moment that God gave you an open window to see a glimpse of the path that is open far and wide for all He has for YOU. So why do we question God exposing us to such behavior of ourselves or others? The truth guides and helps the eyes re-focus and gain the freedom from captivity that God so desires for us. We are exposed so we may see internally the need for a change in behavior, a change of patterns, a change of heart. In order to change these, we have to listen, acknowledge and actually DO something about it.
You may lose “friends or family”, but you will never lose God if you truly are listening and doing right by His word. I know there are people who walked out of my life for whatever reason they have, and, I am good with it because I am healthier for it. The window was open and I now see clearly, hear more clearly and am doing what is according to His path for me.
