Place yourself in the picture of this old wooden bridge leading to a tree in the distant fog. As the dense fog skews the view, hesitation begins, heart palpitations, sweaty palms, heavy breathing, you just can’t take one more step, facing the unknown.

The light illuminates the fog as it appears through the tree branches, the view is enhanced beyond the obstacle in front of your eyes. As you try to focus on the enhanced beauty beyond the obstacle, you’re trying to find a way to get through that obstacle.

Just on the other side of this wooden bridge, while it may not be strong enough to hold you up, is a dream in your heart. Do you venture out further onto the wooden planks of unsteadiness? As your thoughts become scattered with discouragement, you begin to question yourself, “do I have enough courage, am I brave enough to take another risk, do I have the faith to take the next step into a journey of the unknown to see my dream fulfilled? Can I go through it once more?”

On many occasions in your life, you’ve probably pondered these same questions.

God created you, and me, to live this life with exuberance!

Be still, your faith is strong enough to hold you up.

Consider this, that tree on the other side of the bridge, it is called the tree of life.  God bridged the gap for us to cross and have a fulfilling and blessed life.  Not a life of fear, or hesitation, but a life of abundance and blessings.  He sent His Son to die for us to be able to face our future head on with faith knowing that on the other side, He is waiting for you with open arms, saying, “trust me, I will not let you fall.” (Psalm 121:3)

Each of us, at one point in our lives, has or will have something to lose because of our choice to move in a direction that is not conducive of what family or friends think is best for us.  Who are you trying to please? God? Family? Friends? Or Yourself?

Have you ever encountered the question or feeling of, “why should you follow your dreams, when the rest of us are just enjoying life where we are?”

The assessment of those you allow on your journey who do more discouraging, give you room for missed opportunities. Don’t miss something in your life because of someone else’s perspective.

Trust your Bridge of Faith!

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Joshua 1:9
